SUMMARY:2025 The Midwest RCD Consortium Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Midwest RCD Consortium Annual Network Meeting is a 1.5-day conference at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland\, OH\, bringing together research computing and data professionals to exchange insights\, explore innovations\, and expand their networks. Engage in discussions on emerging trends\, discover innovative approaches to research computing\, and connect with peers across the region. Whether you’re new to the field or an experienced professional\, this event welcomes all who are involved in research computing and data services. \nEnsure to make plans to attend the afternoon workshop and evening reception/networking event on April 14\, 2025—a great opportunity to build meaningful connections in a relaxed setting. Lodging/parking is also provided by the consortium for individuals who are at institutions of higher education within the consortium. Whether you want the consortium to pay for your lodging or you pay for it yourself\, please make your arrangements through the consortium so we can fill the host hotel and meet our financial obligations. You do this during registration. \n  \nRegistration is free. Networking reception/dinner\, breakfast\, lunch\, and refreshments will be provided. \n\n\n\n\nThe program is available on Sched. SUMMARY:Midwest RCD Annual Network Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Midwest RCD Consortium Annual Network Meeting is a 1.5-day\, in-person gathering that brings together research computing\, data\, and cyberinfrastructure professionals from across the Midwest and beyond. \nIn 2026\, we’re excited to convene at the Big Ten Conference Center in Rosemont\, Illinois\, for 1.5 days of learning\, collaboration\, and community-building. This meeting offers a welcoming space to exchange ideas\, explore emerging trends\, and share practical approaches to supporting research computing and data services. Through interactive sessions\, workshops\, and facilitated discussions\, participants will engage with peers facing similar challenges and opportunities across institutions. Whether you’re new to RCD or a long-time contributor\, the Annual Meeting is designed to foster meaningful connections\, spark new ideas\, and strengthen the Midwest RCD community. \nRegister here \nProgram & Format\nThe meeting will feature a mix of: \n\nWorkshops and training-focused sessions\nFacilitated discussions\nInteractive and creative session formats\n\nThe program is being developed with community input and will be posted once finalized. \nSubmit a Proposal \n\n\nRegistration & Lodging\nRegistration for the Annual Meeting is free. Breakfast\, lunch\, refreshments\, and a networking reception will be provided. Lodging support will be available upon request for eligible participants. During registration\, attendees will be asked to indicate lodging needs and make arrangements through the consortium to help us meet our hotel commitments. \n\n\n\n\nStudent Experience Program\nThe Student Experience Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with an opportunity to engage directly with the RCD community through hands-on participation\, networking\, and exposure to real-world research computing work. Selected students will receive: Lodging during the meeting and up to a $250 award (paid after the meeting). Applications are open.
